2026 Honda Passport vs 2025 Honda Passport

Serving Chicago, IL

The next-generation 2026 Honda Passport takes a rugged turn with bold improvements to its façade and capabilities. There are also numerous updates to the Passport's interior. This midsize two-row model sits between the CR-V and the Pilot in Honda's lineup, and its latest improvements make it a must-see option before buying your next vehicle. What are the differences between the 2025 and 2026 Honda Passport?

Performance

The 2026 Passport now rides on a stiffer chassis, which is the same chassis used in Honda's light-duty trucks. It also boasts an upgraded suspension system and an all-new 10-speed auto transmission. The 2025 transmission was a 9-speed automatic system. The 2025 and 2026 Passport both have a 3.5-liter, V6 engine, but the output bumps up from 280 to 285 horsepower in the new model year. In addition to these updates, the 2026 Passport has enhanced calipers and larger brake rotors. The ground clearance is also raised in 2026 to 8.3 inches. Both model years feature multiple standard drive modes including modes for snow, sand, and mud.

Appearance

In 2025, the Honda Passport has a smaller stature with a tall yet rounded nose and crisp accents running along the upper and lower portions of the door panels. The rear fenders are well-defined, and the large, wedge-like headlights link to the grille. In 2026, the Passport has more rear seating and cargo space thanks to the update to its chassis. In addition, you will find updates to the roof rails, pillars, headlamps, front fascia, and fender flares. The nose is taller and flatter, and the grille has a short, rectangular design. The amber-outlined headlights are a direct continuation of the reshaped grille. Exterior features that continue to be available include a hands-free power liftgate, all-terrain tires, and power-folding and heated side mirrors.

Features

Inside, the 2026 Passport introduces a larger infotainment system screen, standard heated seats, a heated windshield, and an optional picnic table. Features that are standard or available in the 2025 and 2026 Passport include driver's memory settings, wireless smartphone charging, a moonroof, a three-zone climate control system, forward collision mitigation, parking sensors, rear window sunshades, a navigation system, adaptive cruise control, a 10-speaker premium sound system, a heated steering wheel, and additional features.
