What's New for the 2025 Honda Pilot?
For the last few decades, the Honda Pilot has been a popular option for SUV shoppers needing a three-row cabin. This midsize crossover has evolved impressively across four generations, and the current generation launched in 2023. Because the Pilot benefitted from significant updates, there are only a few changes to the 2025 model year.
The trim lineup gets an overhaul in 2025 with the loss of its base trim level and the introduction of a top trim level. Specifically, the LX trim has been removed so that the Sport will be the entry-level trim. In addition, the Black Edition is the new top trim level, moving the Elite down a spot. The trim lineup for 2025 includes the Sport, EX-L, Touring, TrailSport, Elite and Black Edition. If you choose the Black Edition, your Pilot will have dark interior and exterior trim, red cabin accents, and leather seats.
The 2025 Honda Pilot continues to impress with its solid engineering, and its capabilities are unchanged from the 2024 model year. The 285-horsepower V6 engine continues to come with a 10-speed auto transmission. It boasts a tight turning radius for optimal maneuverability. If you choose the TrailSport trim, you can use enhanced axle articulation from the upgraded and lifted suspension. The towing capacity of the 2025 Pilot is 5,000 pounds.
With the exception of the blacked-out elements on the Black Edition, the exterior of the 2025 Pilot is unchanged. This model displays raked side windows and a tall, flat roofline. The nose is bold with a wide-mesh, hexagonal grille. The LED-underscored headlights branch off horizontally from the grille.
As is true with the 2024 Pilot, the 2025 version is available with seating for eight with a bench seat in the second row. Captain's chairs in the second row are an option as well, and they bring seating space to seven. If you choose the 2025 Sport trim level, your Pilot will have two 7-inch display screens in the center stack. The other trims have 9-inch screens. Additional features available in the 2025 Pilot are 14 cup holders, traffic jam assist, removable storage spaces, wireless device charging, wireless smartphone connections, a multi-zone climate control system, automatic locking, a moonroof, a push-button ignition, heated seats, and numerous assistive safety features.
